The numbers speak for themselves. Last year, the DMARC Food Pantry Network assisted over 70,000 unique individuals experiencing food insecurity, and over 35% of them were between the ages of 0–17 years-old. Rising food costs, increases in basic living expenses, and Iowa rejecting over $29 million in federal food aid has created a silent crisis in our own backyards.
